I have worked with Aakowa as an illustrator and it has been a great experience for me to explore different perspectives. His stories take me to places where I wouldn't be able to go otherwise. My view was expanded through working with him.
My session on The Aakowa Parables allowed me to share my experience of someone who is of Caribbean heritage and connect it with my African lineage. The session was quite timely as I had just came back from visiting the African continent for the first time and being able to share the similarities and differences between the two cultures. Our discussion was honest and generated curiosity and connection between the two groups with the main focus on the importance of family and community.
I Enjoyed working with Mr Aakowa and his projects! he brings you into another world with his captivating use of words looking fwd to many more interesting stories in 2025!!
Working with Aakowa was an absolute pleasure. As an artist lead, he brought exceptional creativity, dedication, and leadership to our project. His ability to craft compelling narratives, engage deeply with the local community, and inspire young people was truly amazing. Aakowa not only led rehearsals with precision and care but also created impactful soundscapes that enriched the overall artistic vision. His collaborative spirit and professionalism made him a joy to work with, and I would highly recommend him to any organization seeking a passionate and talented creative leader.

Means of Defense is an amazing story! This author always hits! A storyline that’s compelling, intriguing and informative about racial struggles. I kept wanting to know more.
This is awesome! I’ve never seen anything like this! I really like the music. My favourites are “Heart goes to you” and “That’s when we die”. Can’t wait for more!
